It only builds half of the Unity Editor.dll so not sure how to compile it to get the UnityEditor.exe to improve the game engine like integrating sockets and other features into the engine. Could take decades unless someone else knows how to do it or create a tutorial on building the Unity Reference. I typically build Blender with CMake.
